About
Our Culture.
Quality first.
Our quality-first culture means we are always striving to do better, we support one another and our clients to achieve that quality, the right outcome and do it safely. It’s been a journey. It still is! We share what we know, what we learn, and are unafraid to explore and discover. 160 years has seen us build a solid foundation in engineering from Dunedin NZ on a global scale. We had to be brave, work hard, value people and treat our community right. We are a team of many skills, disciplines and backgrounds. We are people from many places. It's part of what makes this whole thing work. One Team Farra.
What we do.
Serving New Zealand and Australia since 1863, our expertise has resulted in us being the most reliable and proven engineering name behind some of Australasia's biggest brands and infrastructure providers. Our access machines are well-recognised across Australia, to Europe and the Middle East. Today, our 130+ team of industry professionals specialise in Safe Access Machines, Maintenance, Repairs and Overhaul (MRO) for Heavy Industry and Contract Manufacturing with the most complete and proven suite of inhouse capabilities+ and facilities in NZ that are the envy of many international engineers and manufacturers.
Our Purpose.
Our Values.
Our shared purpose and values are at the heart of what we do. What we do today, how we think, the decisions we make, how design, innovate, engineer, and how behave ultimately, impacts on people. That’s why we choose to do better... be better. We are 'creating a sustainable future by delivering engineering that makes a difference'.
Sustainability.
We listen to understand your goals so the end solution delivers without compromise on quality, safety, performance or aesthetics. Sustainability plays its part in that. We have been around a long time so we understand the need to make the best possible choices for your business. We take a very practical approach to sustainability: minimise waste, recycle a lot, we plan smart and maximise efficiencies right from design to manufacturing. We have made moves, using technology to generate our own green energy and we are always looking for other opportunities to improve.
Community Care
We are dedicated givers to I am Hope and chosen Breast Cancer and Prostate Cancer charities and are believers in growing opportunities for our youth offering many roles, apprenticeships and exposure to the industry. We want to do the right thing by people, place, our environment and community. Ensuring the next 160 years.
